In Wave Rider, you play as a surfer on the blue sea, controlling your surfboard to avoid various obstacles along the way. Your ultimate goal is to surf as far as possible and score the highest points. During your surf, you'll encounter various obstacles, from driftwood and sharp rocks to waterfalls and shallow areas without waves. Along the way, you'll find scattered golden pearls and rewards. They are the currency you use to unlock new surfboard models. Each surfboard has different stats for Speed, Accel, Turn, and Health; the more pearls a surfboard costs, the better its quality.
